INSTRUCTION FOR SLURRY FILTRATION

  1. Place GreenNectar ® Slurry Filter on flat surface.
  2. As per your farm requirement you can assemble multiple slurry tanks
  3. Make a 12mm hole at 225mm from bottom of the Fermentation Slurry Tank on one side and fit a 12mm bib cock to the Fermentation Slurry Tank.
  4. Make hole of 50mm on the rear side of the Fermentation Slurry Tank and fit 50mm flush cock.
  5. Whenever you want to filter the slurry don't steer the slurry a day before
  6. Let all the sludge sediment, in the Fermentation Slurry Tank
  7. Next day you can filter the slurry through GreenNectar ® Filter.
  8. Keep overflow Cock (C) always open while filtering the Slurry.
  1. When the discharge is slow then clean the inlet mesh and pour clean water through it and open all the flush cocks viz. DEFG.
  2. Then again flush through the outlet B and open flush cock DEFG until all the resedue/sludge in the filter medium is washed out.
  3. Close all the flush cock (CDEFG) and open outlet cock (B) and start filtration again.
  4. Repeat cleaning process as required.
  5. After every filtration it is mandatary to clean the filter
  6. When the filter in not in use fill with clean water

Why do we need a Slurry Filter?

Agriculture is unquestionably the largest livelihood provider in India, more so in the vast rural areas across the country. As per the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), India ranked 2nd in the total world fertilizer consumption in 2012. Macro-nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (NPK), and micro-nutrients such as boron and zinc are essential ingredients for soil and plant nutrition. NPK nutrient balance is a critical factor to maintain soil quality. However, due to national policies and inflation rates, the NPK fertilizers face great cost disparity. This has resulted in overconsumption of N fertilizer and under consumption of P and K fertilizer. Such excessive and unbalanced nutrient distribution has worsened the soil nutrient balance, and therefore soil and plant health. Various factors cause stagnation and deterioration of agricultural outptut and productivity. Additionally, excessive and unbalanced use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides has proven to be detrimental to achieve high crop yield. Heavy treatment of soil with pesticides can cause populations of soil microorganisms to decline. Overtime this results in soil degradation. To enhance sustainability of agriculture and achieve higher grain yield per unit area, soil health, soil quality and land productivity are critical factors. Preserving favorable biological activity and optimal organic matter levels in soil can be achieved by utilizing natural resources such as organic manure, green manure or liquid composts. Production of natural slurry eliminates the need of excessive chemicals, and thus help maintain optimal soil quality and increase healthy crop yield.

Why GreenNectar ® Slurry Filter?

Fermented liquid compost manure is one of the natural resources used to maintain and optimize soil quality and health. Typically, a liquid blend known as slurry forms a rich source of natural fertilizer for cropping. However, production of such a slurry demands enormous efforts and time. Traditionally, the entire slurry making process is poor and inefficient. Due to this, most farmers have diverted toward convenience and easy availability of artificial chemicals. The negative consequences have started to surface which necessitate judicious use of such chemicals, and also increase the significance of farming based on natural resources.

GreenNectar™ aims to steer the farmers towards farming practices based on natural resources with reliable methods and approaches. Our slurry filter is built to overcome the problems related to the traditional and amateurish slurry making process. It is an independent slurry filtration system, a first of its kind. The filter delivers a whopping ~500 liters of slurry per hour, with approx. 150- micron particle sizes to ensure both high throughput and smooth distribution. Highly efficient, user-friendly and super convenient, this filter system is a one-of-a-kind slurry filtering and distribution solution.
